So the short long run turned out to be 8 miles. The proper long run would have been 11 miles, but I want to 'save' some legs for tomorrow. It turns out that the American Lung Association (organisers of my vertical race) are holding a practice session at the Bunker Hill Monument. If I understood Erin correctly, everyone will run up the 270 stairs 3 times. That should give us an idea of whether we will cope on the day...watch this space I shall report back.
